Career so far

I'm Zak Corderoy, a 25-year-old hailing from the small village of Blewbury in Oxfordshire. From an age of 5, the roaring world of motorbike racing ignited my passion, a fire that has burned brightly ever since. Amidst various attempts at other competitive sports, none have quite matched the exhilaration of releasing the clutch and engaging in high-speed battles alongside 40+ other hooligans.

My journey into the world of racing commenced at the age of 5 on minimotos. Over the course of the next 5 years, I thrived in the world of racing, clinching an impressive tally of 9 British championships. Before, gradually advancing to more substantial 50cc and 70cc gear bikes by the age of 12. As I developed, I later moved onto a full-size 125cc Aprilia RS 125 which became my main focus.

The year 2012 marked my initiation into the larger motorcycles, a year in which we dedicated to acclimating to these formidable machines and tackling renowned tracks like Donington Park, Silverstone, and Brands Hatch. The intensity escalated in 2013 when I joined the Aprilia Superteen Championship. Where through unwavering hard work and commitment, I managed to bring the championship home.

Between 2013 to 2020 we won another national Aprilia championship and made the step up to a 600cc machine for one year in 2017, but due to circumstances well out of my control we had to withdraw from racing completely for two whole years before finally making a comeback in 2020.

Resilience and determination paved the way for my return in 2020 to the British Superbikes paddock. Competing in the Pirelli National Superstock 600 class. Despite the 2 year break, we even managed to secure my first British championship podium in the first race of the season. This momentum continued throughout the year and ended in a commendable third-place finish within the class. The following year, 2021, mirrored this achievement with another impressive third-place championship ranking.

Anticipating new challenges, 2022 beckoned with the transition to the British Supersport championship. Despite a promising start, misfortune struck in round 3, a mechanical glitch leading to a crash and a series of injuries. Undeterred, through 2022 Gearlink stuck by and gave me 100% support throughout, which I am immensly greatful for.

In 2023 we returned to racing following an injury plagued season, despite the set back we returned to action with a bang! In 2023 we were able to show our potential with podiums, poles and top 5 positions. This put us into a great spot for 2024. Unfortunately our season was cut short with a pre season injury. Missing all season apart from the final round at Brands Hatch where we were able to return with a podium on our first race back.

In 2025 I will be competing in the Quattro Plant British Supersport Championship for Dan Cooper Motorsport onboard a Honda CBR600RR. I am super excited to ride for Dan and represent his team in the British Championship. Our season starts in May at Oulton Park and I believe we have what it takes to compete at the front!
